United Way of Bemidji Area seeks proposals from qualified individuals, businesses, or organizations to provide disaster case management services for households still recovering from the June 21, 2025 derecho windstorm, and to build the local capacity to respond when the next disaster hits.
For purposes of this RFP, an individual respondent must be operating as an independent contractor, sole proprietor, or other legally authorized business able to contract with United Way of Bemidji Area. Individual respondents must be properly licensed or registered to conduct business as applicable, must carry or be able to obtain required insurance coverage before contract execution, and must be responsible for their own taxes, benefits, equipment, transportation, and business expenses unless otherwise negotiated in the contract.
We are looking for a partner who will train with us, learn our systems, sit at the table with our Long Term Storm Recovery Committee for the next 6 months, and be the first call when the next crisis comes. The selected respondent will also be a part of the Community Organizations Active in Disaster (COAD) structure we will be building for our area.
