In 2023, 1,294 children, ages 0-17, experienced a joyful Christmas thanks to the generosity and kindness of others.

Each year the United Way of Bemidji Area hosts Holiday Gifts for Kids, co-sponsored by RP Broadcasting stations, Paul Bunyan Communications, and caring community volunteers who help organize the program.

Parents or legal guardians pre-register, and on distribution day they get to "shop" for a gift for their child. In addition, each family receives a board game to enjoy together.
