Emergency Fund

Thank you to everyone who supported the United Way of Bemidji Area Emergency Fund. Together, we were able to distribute more than $175,000 to local agencies.

Responding to the coronavirus/COVID-19, the United Way of Bemidji Area has established an Emergency Fund to support local nonprofits with unexpected expenses.

These funds will support access to food, emergency needs, and care to elderly/most vulnerable in our community. Agencies with unexpected expenses combined with fundraising shortfalls due to event cancellations will be assessed at the end of May.

“Keeping our seniors healthy and providing working families with basic needs is incredibly important at this time,” said United Way of Bemidji Area, Executive Director, Denae Alamano. “We will continue to monitor the needs of agencies and may need to provide additional assistance as everything unfolds.”
