United Way of Bemidji is making a real difference in the lives of real people. By focusing our community's resources on the most pressing needs, we are able to provide solutions and make a lasting impact right here in Bemidji.

Your contribution, no matter how great or small, makes a difference.

That's the strength of United Way. Combined with the gifts of others, your gift supports a coordinated network of health and human services that are changing lives for at-risk kids, senior citizens, people with disabilities, and many more of your friends and neighbors.

GIVE Through your workplace   GIVE Directly to United Way

Four easy steps to help define and create your legacy:

 1. Reflect on your life values  Think about what’s been important in your life

and what kind of legacy you want to leave.

 2.  Contact your favorite nonprofit organization

Talk to them about how your planned gift as a part of a will would benefit their work.

 3.  Evaluate your finances Consult a professional such as an attorney, an

accountant, or a financial advisor.  They can explain tax advantages and help

you set up a gift to meet your goals.  Remember, almost everyone has the

      capacity to leave a legacy.

 4.  Take action  Work with a professional advisor to put your plans into place to

reflect your values.  Write or review your will, estate plan, insurance

       beneficiaries, IRA or asset titles.
