The United Way workplace campaign has been called one of the greatest social inventions in American history. 

Thank you for being a part of the 2010 United Way of Bemidji Area Campaign! The dollars you raise change the lives of families, friends, and neighbors in the Bemidji community. Start at the top - Kick off your campaign by sending a letter from the CEO. link here for two template letters you can use 

Send a letter to your employees respectfully asking for a % increase in giving.  You will be amazed at how effective asking for a 2-5% increase actually is!  And, the good news is the small amounts combine to create a huge impact in our community!    

United Way of East Mississippi saw a particular workplace campaign go from $1,200 to $26,000 just by adding incentives to make the campaign more fun and exciting.  Offer incentives to increase participation and contributions.  link here for some best practices

Thank You Postcards - thank you postcards make perfect payroll stuffers or attach a piece of candy to them and have your CEO personally deliver them to employees who contribute to your campaign.  See bright ideas packet for creative superhero thank you ideas.
