Each year The United Way of Bemidji Area requests donations of clean, gently used men’s, women’s, children’s and infant's coats, snow suits and other winter accessories for its “Coats for the Community” program to help keep those in need warm and dry during the winter. Approximately 2000 articles are collected and distributed each year in October. 

The 2008 collection drive begins on Friday, July 18 through September 26, 2008.  Donations may be dropped off at the following locations:

Dress Club Cleaners
JC Penney
Lueken's Village Foods North and South
Pamida
Wells Fargo Westridge and Downtown
