What are the benefits to running a United Way workplace campaign?

Meaningful way to energize a team, build company morale, and share a sense of contribution to community.
It offers professional development as campaign team members learn project management, leadership, and
  organizational skills.
It increases employees’ community awareness as they learn about critical issues facing our community.
By allowing your employees to pay their pledges through payroll deduction, you empower them with the ability to help dozens of
  agencies and impact thousands of lives for only a handful of dollars a week.
It provides recognition opportunities for the organization and employees. United Way’s Campaign Awards recognize the
  exceptional commitment, leadership, and creativity shown through participation in the annual campaign.


What’s involved in a United Way workplace campaign?

Company Commitment
• Commit to an employee campaign
• Allow employee giving through payroll deduction (This is a benefit to your employees but it isn't necessary.  Employees have    
  many convenient options to give to United Way via cash, auto bank debits, credit cards, being billed for pledges...)
• Consider a corporate gift

CEO/Manager Commitment
•  Appoint an employee, or team of employees, to serve as the campaign coordinator and have them attend the workplace
   campaign training party
•  Visibly support the campaign
